If you or someone you know is interested in being a Forestry Specialist - Professional Forester for the Organization, please take a look!The Forestry Specialist supports the Office of the Wet’suwet’en in protecting, managing, and advocating for the health of Wet’suwet’en Yintah (territory) through the review of land‑use and resource‑development referrals. This role ensures that forestry‑related decisions respect Wet’suwet’en governance, uphold the rights and title of the Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs, and align with the cultural, ecological, economic and community values of the five clans and 13 house groups.
The specialist provides technical forestry expertise, conducts field assessments, and works collaboratively with internal staff, Hereditary leadership, government agencies, and industry proponents to ensure that all activities within the Yintah support long‑term sustainability and cultural integrity.
